It also vacuums up small particles like flour very well. For a large particle test, we crushed up crackers. It got most of the pieces, but some larger parts didn't fit underneath. The DC24 filters out all of the dust it sucks up. Our Decibel reader registered between 70 to 75 decibels, which is quieter than a normal vacuum. The suction was above average at 80 inches of water. Maintenance involves two different things. First, you need to empty the dust-bin by taking it off the vacuum and opening it up over a trash can. There are two filters.
